The Phuket Sandbox scheme is finally underway. Did you know that Phuket is the biggest island in Thailand with 543 km² (209 sq mi)?

Besides being the country’s biggest island, the province of Phuket also includes 32 smaller islands off its coast.

We have put together some of the most beautiful islands surrounding Phuket that vaccinated travellers can visit in the first 14 days of their trip to Thailand.

10. KOH BON ISLAND

Koh Bon is a small island just a short distance away from Rawai Beach on Phuket’s southern coast. Despite its proximity to this popular beach and the island’s inviting sandy beach and clear waters, few people visit it, making it the perfect place to play castaway for the day.

9. KOH MAPHRAO – COCONUT ISLAND

Koh Maphrao or “Coconut Island” in Thai is an islet about 500 metres off Phuket’s east coast, near the seafood mecca off Leam Hin.
